From Saturday, October 11th to Sunday, November 2nd, VALIANT GALLERY in Imaizumi, Fukuoka will be holding a solo exhibition by dolly , an artist living in Asakura City, Fukuoka Prefecture, entitled "Inner Surface Stories - Exhibition by dolly."

What does your inside look like?

"INNER SURFACE" is dolly's most cherished masterpiece, which she has been working on for a long time.
A new series on the theme of "essence" that transcends appearance, which I have always wanted to depict as a story, is finally taking shape.

This all-new work, created just in time for the Halloween season, combines digital and analog techniques to depict a dark and beautiful world where light and shadow intersect.

Although each of the 12 pieces is an independent scene, they form a single flow that tells a "story that unfolds throughout the year." Each piece is accompanied by music, creating an immersive experience where the senses of sight and sound intersect.

The encounter of spring, the fluctuation of summer, the determination of autumn, the harmony of winter.
As time passes, a woman's inner self gradually becomes more apparent, and through repeated changes, she comes closer to her true self.

The universal question that is embodied in these works is that "what appears on the surface is not everything."
I think that everyone carries their true self deep inside, but they don't easily reveal it.

I hope you can feel your own inner surface in this dark yet beautiful world.
