Artist Profile

Living in Oita

While he has a unique worldview at his core, he also creates a wide range of illustrations with a wide range of expression.
He has also designed CD jackets for artists who are at the forefront of the contemporary scene, including Tusiki, who won first place at the Ryuha BEST RAPPER AWARDS 2017.
In 2021, he will have a solo exhibition at Tower Records Shibuya.
In 2023, he will be actively involved in exhibiting his works on the theme of AIR MAX 1 OG 86 at the NIKE MAXXED OUT TOUR.

KUREINO is taking on a new challenge in his solo exhibition. This exhibition will focus on him.

Below are his words.

Time passes by in the blink of an eye, and even though everyone should remember each and every moment, we fall into a deep place where we cannot recall it.

It was painful, I was angry, it hurt, I was happy, I laughed, I loved...

Such countless hours.

But even so, something triggers a flashback to that moment.

They say that when we face death, all of these images flash before our eyes like a slideshow...
If only I could pull out those memories and put them into a painting...

Can you express who you are as a person through a picture?
No, can I leave a trace of my life?
What is the reason for painting?
What is the reason for leaving it?
I sometimes think about such things, but there is no answer, and I'm not looking for an answer, I just sometimes think about it.

But even in those painful moments I draw, paint and preserve them.

I will continue to draw, thinking that it would be interesting if the day comes when a slideshow of my life flashes before my eyes and my mind is filled with those pictures.
Slowly and patiently

I hope these pictures will become triggers someday...
