Fockea edulis
This succulent plant is native to South Africa and belongs to the Apocynaceae family, and its Japanese name is "Martian."
Its thick, cylindrical base, resembling a radish, and its winding vines give it a mysterious presence. The more you look at it, the more you'll be drawn to this unique plant.
■Location
It prefers a sunny, well-ventilated location throughout the year. During the growing season from spring to autumn, it should be kept outdoors in a well-ventilated location, away from direct sunlight. In winter, it should be kept indoors in a sunny location, with limited watering and kept on the dry side.
■Temperature control
The optimum temperature for growth is 20 to 25°C, and it is desirable to keep the minimum temperature above 5°C.
■Watering
From spring to autumn, water thoroughly when the soil is dry, and in winter, water sparingly.
■Soil and fertilizer
Please use potting soil for succulents and cacti that has good breathability and drainage.
Fertilize the plant with diluted liquid fertilizer about once every two weeks from May to September during the growing season, or with fertilizer for houseplants about once every two months. There is no need to fertilize in winter.
