Kabutomaru grows wild in Texas and northern Mexico. It is also called sea urchin cactus because of its size and appearance that resembles a sea urchin.
Although this specimen is small, it grows in colonies and is very impressive.
There is a line called a "ridge" running from the head. There is a pattern made of hairs called a "spine seat", which is very attractive.
■Temperature control <br>Keep indoors during the middle of winter.
■Watering <br> During the growing season from spring to autumn, water thoroughly when the soil is dry. During the dormant period in winter, gradually stop watering.
