A tuberous plant native to South Africa. It usually forms a tuberous root in the soil and grows vines. It got its name from the shape of the tuberous root, which resembles a turtle shell. It is also popular in Japan as a winter caudex.
■ Care location <br>It prefers sunny locations. However, avoid direct sunlight in midsummer. The growing season is from September to May.
■Temperature control <br>Switch to indoor control during the middle of winter and summer.
■Watering : From the growing season in autumn, water thoroughly when the soil dries out. Stop watering during the dormant period when the leaves fall.
