Ferocactus diguetii var. carmenensis
This is a type of cactus classified in the Ferocactus genus native to Mexico and the southwestern United States, and is a rare variety that is not widely available.
Its stocky body is captivating with its uniquely twisted reddish-purple spines. Its beautiful, curled spines are captivating, making it a mysterious creature that you can't help but stare at.
■Location for care <br>Spring to autumn: Grow in a sunny outdoor location or in a simple greenhouse.
Winter: When the temperature drops below 5°C, move the plant to a sunny spot indoors.
■Temperature control <br>Optimum temperature for growth: 15℃ to 30℃ is a guideline.
Dormancy period: Maintain a temperature above 5°C in winter and withhold water.
From spring to autumn, it is fine to expose it to as much sunlight as possible during the day and keep it cool at night.
■Watering <br>Growing season (spring to autumn): When the soil is dry, water thoroughly.
Dormant period (winter): Water sparingly, about once a month.
■Soil and fertilizer <br>Please use potting soil for succulents and cacti that has good breathability and drainage.
Fertilize with diluted liquid fertilizer in spring and autumn.
Do not fertilize during the dormant period.
Repotting should be done in spring or autumn during the growing season.
