Lophophora fricii v. decipiens
A type of cactus native to Mexico, also known as the silver wart crown. It is characterized by its spineless, round, button-shaped stems. When grown large, it forms a clump and produces small pink flowers.
With its rounded, soft contours and powdery skin, this plant exudes a quiet and peaceful atmosphere, calming the soul every time you see it.
■ Where to keep it <br>Keep it in a bright place out of direct sunlight throughout the year. In particular, avoid direct sunlight in midsummer and block out the light with lace curtains or cheesecloth. Keep it in a well-ventilated place and make sure the temperature does not drop below 0 degrees. In winter, it will go into a dormant period, so refrain from watering and keep it in a warm place.
■Temperature control <br>Optimum growth temperature: 20℃ to 30℃ is ideal.
Minimum temperature: Keep above 5°C. Especially in winter, if the temperature drops below 5°C, you will need to take measures such as bringing the plant indoors.
Cold weather precautions: Consider moving your cactus to a heated room or using an insulating cactus cover.
■Watering Watering varies depending on the growing conditions and the season. Basically, water only when the soil is completely dry, and in winter, water should be withheld as the plant goes into a dormant state.
■Soil and fertilizer <br>Please use potting soil for succulents and cacti that has good breathability and drainage.
Apply slow-release fertilizer twice a year, from spring to autumn.
